  • Spider-man Homecoming Series

  • Release date: June 2017

Moon Knight made his first appearance in Werewolf by Night #32 (1975). Originally designed to be a hired mercenary, Moon Knight was sent to kill the main protagonist of the story. Gaining popularity following that appearance, Moon Knight transitioned to an ongoing series in 1980 and since then has been one of the premiere Marvel characters. Moon Knight’s original alter ego is Marc Spector, but he also has several personalities that he uses to infiltrate the criminal underworld. Moon Knight’s costume design is based off of the new on-going series from the All-New Marvel Now! imprint. Written by Warren Ellis and drawn by Declan Shalvey, Moon Knight is designed with a black body suit contrasting his white chest plate and wrist guards. The figure itself comes equipped with a Daredevil-esque billy club, his moon projectiles, and alternate fists. It also comes with the tip of Vulture’s wings. The symbol on Moon Knight’s chest seems printed but designed perfectly. The big thing about the overall look to this figure is how much they used the negative space to create contours and definition in the arms and body. Box design for this figure is great and stands apart from the Spider-man Homecoming line by having it’s own unique logo. Even the Moon Knight identifier on the front of the figure is the exact print they are currently using in Volume 7 of the comic. Moon Knight has yet to hit retail stores, but luckily we got a chance to grab a couple off the Amazon cart before they went on lock-down mode. Keep an eye out for the release of Marvel Legends Spider-man Homecoming series the closer the movie gets to release. Although there hasn’t been a date determined for hitting stores, sources estimate that before the beginning of June we should see some pre-orders.
